NELMSC 25-Meter Champ at Boston University, December 11-13 2009 Great Bay Masters: Host successful meet, swim well Great Bay Masters hosted a successful meet at Boston University, December 11-13. The NELMSC 25-Meter Championship was closed to further entries at 661 entrants. This beats last year's record of 588 entrants and maintains this meet's status as the largest domestic 25-meter masters championship in the United States. Great Bay finished second to Maine in the USMS club division in a repeat of last year's finish. GBM closed the point gap, trailing Maine by 796 points in 2009 compared with 1042 points in 2008. We hope to continue this trend! There was a lot of GBM team spirit this year, making it an enjoyable event. We hope more GBM swimmers will join us for future NELMSC championship meets, as we attempt to challenge Maine for the USMS club title. Thanks to Coach Darren for leading us on-deck and recruiting swimmers for the meet. Complete meet results are posted.
