Great Bay Masters Third at 2008 NELMSC SCY Championship Non-NEM USMS Club Division We had a relatively small group attend the championship meet at Harvard last weekend but it was still a great time! Great Bay finished 8th overall in scoring, and 3rd in the non-NEM club contest. Congratulations to everyone who helped in this effort, and also once again the relays were a lot of fun. There were a couple of new features at the meet which gave the swimmers something else to think about, including new blocks which record your reaction time at the start. Darren Johnson was able to pull off the perfect relay start on the last event of the meet - 400 free relay - a +0.00. hmmn, not sure if the average person should actually strive to be quite as perfect, as most likely you will get DQ'ed instead! There were 37 individual event Great Bay Masters club records set at Harvard and eight relay event swims. In addition, congratulations to our top three point scorers: Dick Arnold, Jim Robertson and Julia Malloy, please see below.
