2008 Jenny Thompson 50 Meter Pool Masters Meet
Hosted by Great Bay Masters

Great Bay Masters hosted the annual "Summer Challenge" meet at the Jenny Thompson Pool in Dover, NH, 7/27/08. Fortunately the string of nice sunny days we've experienced in recent years continued. Sixty seven swimmers raced, including 31 Maine Masters, 22 New England Masters and 14 Great Bay Masters swimmers. Maine ran away with the team scoring (2002 combined points), followed by NEM (886) and GBM (753). Congratulations to Maine, we admire your team spirit and enthusiasm.

Full meet results are posted. Meet records were introduced this year, and 37 individual and 6 relay marks were broken. Great Bay Masters club records were also falling, see below, with 19 new Individual's records and one relay.

Put a masters swimming event on your calendar and use it as motivation to get in shape or stay in shape. This fall Great Bay Masters will be focusing on the 3000 Yard Postal Swim, Portsmouth meet and the Short Course Meters Championship planned for BU. Its all about fun, fitness, camaraderie and team spirit.
