Great Bay Masters Man vs. Nature, Part 3: Mount Washington Ammonoosuc Trail, Saturday September 1 The Ammonoosuc is a challenging trail near the Cog Railway. It is a great workout with a reward of outstanding views. This day was a reminder that it always pays to be prepared when hiking Mt. Washington. At the base it was comfortable to hike in shorts and a T-shirt. Approaching the summit there was heavy fog, driving 30+ MPH wind, and temperatures below 40F. The hike was a lot of fun and quite an experience. Great Bay Masters welcomes new members. We have a lot to offer - swim with us!
